Acceptable use policy
Effective 27 October 2026. Published by Respiresoft LLC. When a policy changes, the date changes and the hub says what changed.
This policy covers the services Respiresoft LLC runs for RespireCloud: RespireSoft AI, the Store, the licence and update services, the community and the partner portal. It does not tell you what you may host on your own servers, which is between you and your own customers and the law where you operate. The one exception is where your use of our services is involved.
1. Rules for everything we run
- Follow the law that applies to you and to us.
- Do not attack, overload, probe or try to get around the limits or security of our services, or of other people who use them.
- Do not try to get a licence, trial, credits or a service by deceiving us, for example with many fake email addresses or stolen payment details.
- Do not share a licence key or an installation key, or use ones that are not yours.
- Keep your keys and passwords secret, and tell us quickly if you think they are known to someone else.
2. RespireSoft AI
You may use RespireSoft AI to run and understand your RespireCloud installation, and for the other tasks the assistant offers. You must not use it to:
- make or spread malware, phishing, spam, scams, or other tools to harm computers or people;
- attack, scan or break into systems you do not own or do not have written permission to test;
- produce sexual material involving children, or content that threatens or harasses people or promotes violence or hatred;
- collect or expose personal data against the law, or make decisions about people that the law says need a human;
- pretend to be a person or a company you are not, or make false statements that could cause real harm;
- try to make the assistant ignore its rules, leave its scope, reach other accounts, or get around the safety checks (the checks refuse these requests and record them);
- resell or give access to your installation's AI credits to others who are not your own customers using your installation;
- copy the service's answers in bulk to train a competing AI model.
Do not put secrets into prompts if you can avoid it, and be careful with other people's personal data. Our service removes secrets it recognises and refuses a request that still has one, but it cannot catch everything. Credits are counted on the account that uses them, so anyone who uses the assistant on your installation uses your credits.
3. Hosted services: community and store
- Community. Be honest and respectful. No spam, advertising for unrelated things, personal attacks, other people's private data, illegal content, or content you do not have the right to post. Reviews must be from real use. Do not buy, sell or fake votes or reviews. Posts are shown to everyone and may be moderated, hidden or removed. Repeat or serious offences can lead to a ban.
- Store. Do not publish, upload or request modules in ways that bypass the licence or signing checks. Modules must do what they say.
- Licence, update and download services. Do not mirror or resell releases, share the short-lived download links, or hammer the services with automated requests beyond normal check-ins.
- Partner programme. No self-referral, fake sign-ups or misleading claims. Follow the partner rules shown in the portal.
4. What we may do
If you break this policy, we may refuse requests, remove content, suspend credits or an account, or revoke a licence. We try to warn you first and to act in proportion to the problem. We act at once to stop serious harm, for example an attack. We may report illegal activity to the authorities. A suspension of our services never stops the sites on your own servers, which keep running as the licence agreement explains.
5. Report a problem
To report abuse, write to info@respiresoft.com. For a security weakness, use the subject "RespireCloud security report". We read it, answer within one business day (Monday to Friday, UTC), and thank you.
