Apps and runtimes

In preview

Run more than PHP. Deploy an app from Git, keep its workers and cron jobs beside it, and roll back when a release goes wrong.

Built and lab-tested

  • 30 framework presets, deploys from Git and a rollback to an earlier release.
  • Workers and cron jobs that belong to the app.
  • Customisable deploys: hooks, templates, a respirecloud.yaml in the repository, Dockerfile and Compose deploys, and starter templates from the Store.
  • A software manager for the server: allow-listed OS packages, PHP versions with extensions, PECL and php.ini, and language runtimes through mise with pinned tools.
  • Long steps run as jobs with named steps, live progress and cancel.
  • Image builds run inside the account's limits: a builder of its own, started under the account's slice and capped at 75 % of the plan's memory. In the lab a 700 MB step was stopped with a plain message while the account's running app stayed up; CPU is throttled and each account has its own cache.

Not there yet

  • The image builder is not user-namespace remapped (the build tool needs that), and the lab pulled its images from Docker Hub once.
  • Port previews in the editor.
