Store and licence
In preview
Every capability in RespireCloud is a module with its own manifest. The Store installs, upgrades and removes them on a running panel, and your licence decides which paid ones unlock.
Built and lab-tested
- Install, upgrade and remove signed modules without a restart. An upgrade rolls back on its own when it fails, and a manual rollback shows a plan first.
- A built-in catalogue in every release (29 modules, 3 add-ons, 31 starter templates, 16 editor packs), so the Store is never empty when it cannot connect.
- Paid add-ons with trials, editions enforced per action, and licence states: active, grace and degraded. An expired licence stops new things, never existing ones.
- A licence that is checked by the licence service as well as on the server: each installation has its own key, requests are signed with it, and releases and Store downloads are served only to a licence that is active or in grace.
- A free 14-day trial: press Enter at the licence question of the installer. The trial has the Pro edition with limits of 50 hosting accounts, 5 resellers, 3 servers and 1 CDN edge.
- Licence limits are declared by the module that counts them, and the Licence page lists every one.
- One signed catalogue of component versions (PHP, databases, nginx, PowerDNS and more), with signed updates from the Store.
- Panel extensions run in a WebAssembly sandbox.
Not there yet
- An extension's own screen in a sandboxed frame, and review signing.
Every action in this area is in the panel, one keystroke away in the command palette (Ctrl K), on the command line and in the API, and most changes can be previewed as a plan first. Built and tested in our lab; RespireCloud is not released yet.
