Projects

In preview

A project keeps what belongs together in one place: its domains, apps, databases, Valkey, scheduled jobs, certificates and files. You see its health on one page, deploy it in one step and move it as one file.

Built and lab-tested

  • One page per project with every website, app, container stack, database, Valkey instance, scheduled job, certificate, mail domain and backup job in it. Each one is read live and shows its own health.
  • A project is only a group. The things in it stay owned by the part of the panel that runs them, so your permissions and limits apply exactly as before.
  • Each problem has one fix button that does the real thing, with its preview: deploy again, start a stopped process, get or renew a certificate, back up now. Every problem also has an Ask the assistant button.
  • One deploy for the whole project. The apps deploy in the order you set. If one fails, the apps already deployed in that run go back to their earlier release.
  • Make a project from a folder: the panel finds the websites, apps and scheduled jobs that already use it.
  • Export a project to one file and import it on another server. When the file holds data, it is protected with a passphrase. Passwords and secret values never leave: you set them again on the new server, and the result lists what is left to do by hand.
  • A PROJECT.md in the project folder describes what is in it. Your own text in that file is kept.
  • An Add menu on the project page adds things to the project right there. The command line has the same, as rcctl project.
