A hosting control panel for resellers and hosting companies.
If you sell hosting, the panel is your product's face and your staff's daily tool. RespireCloud gives a hosting company the levels, the limits and the billing connections it needs, and it keeps the web panel from being a way to root. It is in early access.
The business model is in the product.
-
Four levels of people
Administrator, reseller, customer and sub-user. A reseller sees and manages only their own customers, and can act as a customer with a reason, a banner, a time limit and an audit trail.
-
Plans that are enforced
Limits for domains, sites, mailboxes, databases, storage and more are reserved and released by each module as things are created and removed. A plan says which modules a customer gets.
-
Billing connections
Modules for WHMCS, Blesta and HostBill, shipped as checksummed downloads and tested end to end against the panel's connector. Signed webhooks, an API token per integration and idempotent replay are in the API.
-
Your brand
White label gives a reseller their own brand, panel host name and email templates (an add-on). Your own default brand works in every edition.
-
Partners and wholesale
Hosting providers and agencies can buy licences at wholesale and manage them from a partner portal and API. See the partners page.
Customers cannot reach each other.
-
Isolation in every edition
Every hosting account is its own Linux user with its own systemd slice for CPU, memory, IO and processes, its own PHP-FPM pool, disk quotas where the filesystem supports them, and open_basedir to its home.
-
A panel that cannot run commands
The web panel runs as an unprivileged user. Work that needs root goes to a separate agent that accepts typed operations only, never a command line.
-
A log you can verify
Every action is written to a hash chained audit log, and checkpoints can be copied off the server so a rewritten log is caught.
From one server to a fleet.
-
Cluster
Roles, placement, HAProxy pools with health checks, floating addresses, site sync and moving an account with its mail from one server to another. Cluster is an add-on.
-
Move your customers in
Importers for cPanel and Plesk backups with a dry run and a full rollback, and a live transfer over SSH.
-
Updates that go back by themselves
The panel updates from signed releases, keeps the previous release and a copy of its database, and goes back on its own if the new release does not start. Customer sites did not fail during a live update in our measurement.
-
Capacity
A server was measured at about 10,800 requests a second of static content at 1000 visitors with the 95th percentile at 93 ms, from three load generators. Dynamic sites are slower and are reported on the performance page.

-
No price yet
Prices are not set. A licence counts hosting accounts, resellers, servers and CDN edges, and there is a free 14 day trial. See the pricing page for what is decided.
-
CloudLinux
RespireCloud has not been installed or tested on CloudLinux.
-
Hosting on Windows
Linux only.
-
No independent penetration test yet
A security and code audit was made on 19 October 2026; the security page says what state its findings are in. An external penetration test has not started.
-
A public release
RespireCloud is in early access. There is no public download, the production signing keys are not made and prices are not set. One install has run on a real server; everything else ran in our lab.
-
Proof on real backups
The importers have run end to end only on archives we built to match each format. A backup taken from a production server has not been imported yet, so expect differences.
-
A second web server
Sites are served by nginx. Apache .htaccess rules, PHP ini overrides and redirects are not translated by the importer: a site that depends on them needs its rules rewritten.
-
Recovery to a moment
A database restore goes back to the time of a scheduled dump. Recovery to a chosen moment between backups is not built. The database tool (Adminer) is built; it covers MariaDB, MySQL and PostgreSQL on the server itself.
Questions
- Is RespireCloud a WHM alternative?
- For the reseller and administrator side, yes: the same levels, plans with limits and acting as a customer. It is one panel for every level, and it does not have WHM's history, so test it on a server of your own first.
- Can I keep WHMCS?
- Yes. There are modules for WHMCS, Blesta and HostBill.
- How do I move my customers?
- Import cPanel or Plesk backups account by account, each with a dry run and a rollback, or use the live transfer over SSH. Nothing is switched until you change DNS.
- Can I resell RespireCloud itself?
- Hosting providers and agencies can buy licences at wholesale through the partner programme. The partners page says what exists.
- How many accounts can one server hold?
- It depends on the plans and the hardware. The panel includes a capacity planner and sizing profiles; the numbers measured so far are on the performance page.
