cPanel pricing in 2026: tiers and what you pay

cPanel pricing in 2026: Solo, Admin, Pro and Premier tiers, per account overage, how bills grow with customers and how to compare it with flat licences.

Key takeaways

  • As of 30 October 2026 cPanel's own page lists four tiers: Solo $29.99, Admin $35.99, Pro $53.99 and Premier $69.99 a month.
  • The tier is set by account count: 1, up to 5, up to 30 and up to 100, then $0.49 for each account above 100 on Premier.
  • Prices are shown excluding VAT, and the first three tiers are 8.4% cheaper with annual billing.
  • Cost per account falls fast as you grow, so the pain is at the low end and in the yearly changes, not at 1000 accounts.

If you search for cPanel pricing in 2026 you will find articles that disagree with each other. This one quotes only what cPanel's own pricing page showed on 30 October 2026, and dates every number. Treat the figures as a snapshot: cPanel changes its prices, and the page is the only source that counts when you buy.

The tiers on cPanel's own page

Source: cPanel pricing, read on 30 October 2026. Prices are in US dollars, per month, excluding VAT.

Tier Accounts Monthly list price With annual billing Runs on
Solo 1 $29.99 $27.46 Cloud/VPS only
Admin up to 5 $35.99 $32.96 Cloud/VPS only
Pro up to 30 $53.99 $49.46 Cloud/VPS only
Premier up to 100 $69.99 not offered, billed monthly Cloud/VPS and Metal/Dedicated

The page shows "Save 8.4%" for annual billing on the first three tiers. It lists a separate WordPress product, WP Squared, at $84.99 a month for 10 WordPress sites and $0.40 for each extra site. That is not a cPanel tier and we leave it out of the maths below.

What counts as an account

The tier limits count accounts, not domains. One account is one hosting user on the server with its own files and username. A customer with ten domains on one account is one account. A reseller who creates 40 separate customer accounts is 40. That is why cPanel cost follows your customer count, not your traffic or your server size.

What happens above 100 accounts

Premier covers up to 100 accounts. The page lists "Additional accounts $0.49 each". The page does not say more than that, so for anything unusual (very large counts, resellers, special terms) ask cPanel or your licence reseller.

Worked cost at 10, 100 and 1000 accounts

Using the list prices above, monthly, excluding VAT, and the cheapest tier that fits. This is arithmetic on the 30 October 2026 prices, not a quote.

Accounts Tier Monthly cost Per account
10 Pro $53.99 $5.40
100 Premier $69.99 $0.70
1000 Premier plus 900 extra $69.99 + 900 x $0.49 = $510.99 $0.51

Two things stand out. A small host with 10 accounts pays most per account. A large host pays about half a dollar per account, which is easy to cover. For a method you can repeat with your own numbers, see how much cPanel really costs per account.

Buying through a host or reseller

Many people never see this page because their VPS or dedicated server host sells the licence, often bundled and often at a different price. Ask what is included and whether the licence price can change during your term. Licences bought in the cPanel store renew automatically on the same day of the month, so cancel before that date if you want to stop.

Options if the bill is the problem

  • Move to a panel with a flat price per server. The cost no longer grows with customers. We explain the trade in flat per server pricing versus per account.
  • Use a free panel if you run your own sites. See the cheapest cPanel alternative.
  • Stay on cPanel if your customers and tools depend on it. It is the standard for good reasons: familiarity, plugins and support.

Where RespireCloud fits: it prices flat per server, with a free plan for one account, and importing a cPanel backup is free. It is newer than cPanel and has a smaller ecosystem. The current prices are on the pricing page.

Questions

How much does cPanel cost per month in 2026?

On cPanel's pricing page as of 30 October 2026: Solo $29.99, Admin $35.99, Pro $53.99 and Premier $69.99 a month, excluding VAT. Solo, Admin and Pro are Cloud/VPS only.

Does cPanel charge extra above 100 accounts?

Yes. Premier covers up to 100 accounts and the page lists additional accounts at $0.49 each, per month, as of 30 October 2026.

Is the annual price cheaper?

For Solo, Admin and Pro the page shows a lower monthly price with annual billing (for example Pro $49.46 instead of $53.99) and says Save 8.4%. Premier is billed monthly.

Why do other articles quote different cPanel prices?

Prices have changed over the years, hosts resell licences at their own prices, and many articles are not updated. Only the vendor page is current, so check it before you decide.
